PLEASE NOTE: Due to the Cudlee Creek Bushfire in December 2019 destroying a large portion of our playspaces and impacting parts of our property, Bush Play is currently not operating for children.

Bush Play Excursions for Pre-schools/Kindergartens and Early Years settings:

Located in Woodside, in the Adelaide Hills, Bush Play, set on 22 acres, is designed to invite Kindergarten and Early Years Settings here as an Excursion space.  Family Day Care groups welcome if you can amalgamate as a larger group.

My intention is to support and encourage Educators to move learning outdoors, and ideally, into wilder spaces closer to your setting.

You may:

  • simply want to bring your children on an excursion into a natural playspace, with me supporting this process.
  • want to use our space as your Bush Kindy site.
  • want to use our space to “give it a go” because you’re already planning to take learning into a wilder context.
  • want access to nature-based activity ideas to use back onsite.
  • want to develop the outdoor spaces at your setting.

Our space is a platform for you to give your children the opportunity to engage in unstructured play in a bush environment.  My intention is to encourage the frequency of outdoor play.

Part of you being here is for me to give you access to resources to help you take learning outside.

Description

Bush Play is an Excursion space for Pre-schools/Kindergartens and Early Years Settings:

This is an outdoor-only facility for children accessing Pre-school, Kindergarten and Early Years settings. Excursions can be one day, or several dates per term, if you’re interested in using our space as your Bush Kindy site. Resources will be shared and support provided as possible.

Capacity is for up to 60 children and 10 accompanying adults.  Our carpark enables access for smaller (approx 24-27 seater) mini-buses and vehicles only. Please note: 57-seater buses are unable to cross our bridge at the bottom of the property, so therefore cannot access our property.

$280 for the facility for the day, from 9.30am – 2.30pm.
So, $280 divided by 60 children = $4.66 per child per full day, $280 divided by 30 children = $9.33 per child per full day.
As long as you stick within the capacity of people for the facility, you can decide on your numbers.
