We respectfully acknowledge the Peramangk people as the traditional custodians and guardians of
this land in Woodside.
We acknowledge our Aboriginal Ancestors, including families from Ngarrindjeri and Kaurna mobs who have spent time on country here.
Without a connection to Country, I feel something is amiss. I’m learning this is the case for many. We are primordially wired to feel good and feel restored in natural environments; it’s where we’ve spent most of our evolutionary years. The health and well-being arising from being back outside is immense and its benefits are well-documented.
Researchers are on the precipice of discovering how closely aligned people and Nature really are but Aboriginal and Ancient cultures have known and connected to this alignment throughout history. We’ve moved indoors into a sitting position only very recently and it’s interfering with our circadian rhythm and our physical and mental health.
Access to natural environments should be a normal part of our day.
